The ad, titled, “Safer” illustrates Assemblyman Alejo’s background of growing up in the Central Coast to his record of fighting crime, gangs and gun violence and passing record legislation into law. In releasing the ad, Assemblyman Alejo remarked:

“Elections are about choices. This campaign is about the future of Monterey County District 1. After years of neglect, rising homelessness, skyrocketing crime and youth homicide, I’m running to bring the change our communities so desperately needs. Instead of continuing the status quo with the failed policies of the incumbent, I’m running to reform the 1st district by combatting gangs, crime and gun violence, improve local schools, create more good paying middle class jobs, and reduce homelessness. This television ad helps to show that I’ve got a proven record of getting things done and it gives credence to the fact that I’ll bring the change we need to the 1st District.”
